About Us
Based in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, Gabe Kirkley and Thomas Smith have been working together in film and theatre for over a decade. Working as directors, videographers, and editors, we have a passion for storytelling and a love for the craft of filmmaking. More often than not, we work together, combining our skills to create the best possible product for our clients.
We shoot on Sony Cinema Line cameras (FX6 and FX30) with premium lenses, high-end Sennheiser audio equipment, and have an industry-standard lighting and grip package that is capable of illuminating large spaces and creating cinematic looks with precise control.

Gabe first began filming backyard movies with his friends as a teenager and has never really stopped. These days, he's thrilled to have grown what started as a side project to a full-blown company with his best friend Thomas. Aside from Kirksmith, he is a director, writer, marketer and software engineer. When he's not telling stories or writing code, he loves reading history, lamenting another Canucks season, hanging out with his wife and their cat, and travelling.

What started as a fun pastime for Thomas in high school has turned into a fierce passion; bringing creative stories from the page to life. Bringing Kirksmith to life with his best friend has been a dream project come true. When not working in film, Thomas can be found performing, directing, and writing for the stage, or chipping away at his ever increasing backlog of video games.
